Potential Beneficiaries - Benefits for the sector A systematic and organised way to share information appears to be vital for effective and meaningful actions in the field of the fight against counterfeiting and piracy. The possibility to overcome fragmentation of the information on counterfeit products and language barriers by providing a system for the efficient circulation of the information between Member States would be a great asset with this respect.

- Increased ability to understand the phenomenon of counterfeiting and to develop strategical plans and more effective means of counteraction.
- Substantial base for developing increased operational cooperation that could lead to joint operations.
