CIOs and national representatives from 24 countries, meeting on June 13 at the 2nd European CIO under the chairmanship of Mr. García Morán, agreed to develop a European Interoperability Strategy and to steer its preparation.

Vice President Kallas -speaking at the lunch with CIOs- stressed the vital importance of agreeing on the European Interoperability Strategy and encouraged CIOs continue the common efforts.

The French Presidency also supported the European Interoperability Strategy as a priority for their mandate starting on 1st July.
