In his keynote address Mr. H. Hololei, Head of Cabinet of Vice-President Kallas, presented the conference motto "CIRCABC - IPM: A Reality Check" and set the theme for constructive discussions.
The presentations covered the current status and usage of CIRCABC and IPM and the roadmap for future releases. In particular, very interesting topics on CIRCA and CIRCABC usage in Spain and specific user and service requirements for future CIRCABC versions were presented. DG MARKT presented the use of IPM, its advantages and shortcomings in a transparent manner.
The practical demonstrations of both applications, IPM as well as CIRCABC, raised favourable comments. Several participants expressed their wish to have as soon as possible access to the respective acceptance - and production environments .
DIGIT presented also the objectives and the possible support tools (OSOR, CITnet) for the creation and moderation of an active OSS collaborative development community. The participants expressed their support to the roadmap proposed by DIGIT and their willingness to participate in a future collaborative development process.
In his closing speech, Mr. F. Garcia Moran thanked the participants, underlined DIGIT's determination to support "Building the OSS community".
