Launch conference of the Semantic Interoperability Centre Europe

The European Commission, Directorate General for Informatics (IDABC), organised a conference on the occasion of the launch of SEMIC.EU, the Semantic Interoperability Centre Europe, on 17 June 2008, in Brussels.


The conference was a meeting point and networking opportunity for professionals of all sectors. Participants introduced their projects to their peers in poster sessions, and in a panel discussion on Visions of the Semantic Interoperability Centre Europe.

SEMIC.EU establishes an open repository for interoperability assets. The project offers coaching services and opportunities for exchange of ideas and best practices. It creates a central resource of interoperability solutions produced by and provided to European eGovernment projects.
