IDABC eProcurement Forum Kick Off Workshop

e-procurement
The eProcurement Forum organised its kick-off workshop on 31 January 2008. This was the first opportunity for the eProcurement community group of ePractice users to meet off-line. Coherently with the general approach of the ePractice initiative, this workshop was an event in the service of the community, where more than 100 participating members could find answers to their questions and the knowledge they were looking for.

The main relevant on-going activities of this Workshop of the eProcurement Communicty were presented together with a selection of relevant eProcurement cases.

The different presentations at the workshop included at least one common message: there are already enough eprocurement activities to conclude that critical mass has been reached in Europe.

Project managers are aware of the importance of real practical cooperation: there is a real risk of duplicatng efforts and, what is of more concern, of implementing incompatible solutions.

The workshop was held at the following Venue:

Centre Albert Borschette
36 Froissart str
1040 Brussels
Belgium

Documentation of the workshop is now available:

More information, including highlighted cases and relevant comments to the forum can be viewed at the workshop web page:
