Legal framework: the IDABC decision and other provisions

This page presents the legal basis of the IDABC programme's activities, as well as the main provisions which have given the political inpulse to the IDA programme in the last decades. Among these, the latest decision No 2004/387/EC is to be implemented during the period 2005-2009, along with other decisions concerning data protection, security regulations, and electronic signatures.

 

The IDABC decision (No 2004/387/EC) was formally adopted by the European Parliament and the Council on 21 April 2004. It is available in PDF format in 11 official languages on EUR-Lex, the portal of the EU Law:
